The floats are full in southern North Carolina. Tens of thousands of peelers are being watched day and night, waiting for the moment they shed their shells. They are mostly male peelers, as the first run is traditionally male. Additionally, they are mostly small peelers, shedding out primarily primes, and just a handful of jumbos. That will quickly change this week, and by this weekend, they should be mostly jumbos. Prices are expected to drop dramatically later this week or this weekend. We will be up to our eyeballs in live soft crabs every day for the next three weeks. Please promote them to the best of your ability.
