One thing New England fish dealers know how to do is auction fish. They have been well versed in that subject for over a century. When the rockfish don’t bite on Wednesday (the last fishing day of the week for “stripers”), like what happened last week, the price doesn’t go up by 50 cents; it goes up by dollars. Hence the “yo-yo” effect. Let’s hope the fish are hungrier this week.

Prices are subject to change.
