With expected warmer temperatures in the Albemarle and Pamlico Sounds behind the Outer Banks of North Carolina, peeler runs are in full swing. Peelers have also shown up in the lower Chesapeake Bay, Virginia’s Northern Neck area, and across the Bay around Cape Charles to Crisfield, Maryland. The market begins the week at $5.50 each for jumbos, slightly more for whales, and $3.50 for primes.
