With favorable weather and strong landings across much of Canada, live lobster prices are falling fast—reaching levels we haven’t seen in over eight months. Chix lobsters are expected to dip below the $10 mark this week for the first time since September.
We anticipate prices will continue to decline throughout May. Meanwhile, lobster tails and CK meat from the current season are arriving at significantly lower prices compared to product processed last December. Expect another drop next week as the first shipments of new-season Canadian lobster hit the market.
