With cold winter temperatures finally in the rearview mirror, the crabs can start crawling around without fear of freezing to death during the next cold front. Word on the water is that Carolina appears to have an abundance of crabs to start the season for the first time in years. That also means there will be a significant number of peelers when they begin to shed, resulting in a large supply of soft crabs. We will know very soon, possibly even by this weekend.
